Dr. Gallo is currently a member of the Visible/Infrared
Imager/Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Operational Algorithm Team, the GOES-R
Land Algorithm Working Group, the NOAA/NESDIS Land Surface Product
Oversight Panel, the USGS-NASA/EOSDIS Land Processes Distributed Active
Archive Center's User Working Group, and is the NOAA representative to
CEOS Virtual Land Surface Imaging Constellation Study Team. Kevin is a
former member American Meteorological Society Board of the Urban
Environment (1999-2003) and a former member of the Board of the
International Association for Urban Climate (2006-10).

Kevin Gallo
Kevin Gallo received a
B.S. degree in Geography/Meteorology from Northern Illinois University
and M.S. and Ph.D. in Agricultural Climatology/Meteorology from Purdue
University. Kevin is physically located at a US Geological Survey (USGS)
facility, the Center for Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS)
where he is the lead investigator on several collaborative research
efforts between NOAA/NESDIS and USGS related to land-atmosphere
interactions. He is also an Adjunct Professor within the South Dakota
State University Geographic Information Science Center of
Excellence.
