Community Strategic Plan

Grafenwöhr Elementary School is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges, an independent educational agency in the United States established for the purpose of setting standards for educational institutions. We continually strive to ensure that our school not only meets the standards of the Association, but exceeds them whenever possible. 

Parental involvement is crucial to the success of this evaluation and the development of an appropriate School Improvement Plan. The vision of Grafenwöhr Elementary School is to work together with each other to get better grades, active bodies, and to help all students feel special in their own way.

Core Commitments / Beliefs

• Grafenwöhr ES maintains a meaningful partnership by providing an open and welcoming atmosphere to all community members. The school stays in touch with parents and the military community through oral and written communication.

• Grafenwöhr ES provides support for the physical well being of all learners through school health services, physical education, and a safe, secure learning environment.
• Grafenwöhr ES provides support for the academic growth of all learners through classroom instruction, one on one tutoring, and small group instruction. A challenging curriculum is provided for academic instruction with standards as our guide. All staff continually participate in professional development to facilitate implementation of a challenging curriculum.
• Grafenwöhr ES provides emotional support for all learners by providing a positive, encouraging environment where the learners are safe from bullying and emotional abuse. Counseling services are available as well as support for our unique military environment.

Student Performance Goal 1

All students will improve their written expression through well developed “ideas” across the curriculum.

Essence of Goal 1

• Written expression is the ability to communicate thoughts in written form. This includes the freedom to write their ideas without fear in the writing stage and also the ability to improve word choice during the revising stage.

All students will increase their understanding of numbers.
