Course Title: Position Classification: An Introduction (CLAS7051N)

Course Description: Learn the basics of the federal job classification system as well as the impact of decisions on how positions are classified. Practical, hands-on examples demonstrate basic principles of position classification in the General Schedule and Federal Wage System. Equivalent to 40 classroom hours.

Note: Classification documents needed to complete this course are on a CD included with the course materials. They can also be obtained from OPM's web site.

This course is part of the Human Resources Management Certificate Program, Level 1, that can be completed entirely through distance education.
