Electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF) at NOAA Do you have your eOPF ID and logon instructions? If not, contact us. Background: The Electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF) is an E-Government initiative, mandated by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for all Executive Branch agencies, and administered by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). eOPF offers a secure, standard approach for personnel records conversion, storage, access, sharing, and archiving. NOAA's Workforce Management Office (WFMO) is collaborating with the Department of Commerce (DOC) and the OPM to fully implement the features of eOPF. eOPF allows employees online access to their own individual folder through a secure Internet connection. To help ensure optimal protection of your personal data, as of Fall 2007, users must access the system with a PC on a federal network using an authorized, registered IP address. NOAA has worked towards converting and maintaining each employee's OPF from paper records to an electronic file in three stages:

Fixing the hiring process is a top priority for NOAA's Office of Workforce Management (WFMO).In the past, SES hiring cycle time covered months as cases languished on the desks of all of those involved in the hiring process.Too often time was wasted as the flow of information circled around and frequently resulted in lost days before hiring decisions were implemented.To fix the process you need an owner.WFMO owns the process for hiring, but managers are in the driver's seat as far as staffing requirements and selections. HR colleagues and hiring managers now share and consult in advance of vacancies holding strategic conversations clarifying hiring needs at the beginning of the process instead of throughout the process.A recruitment timeline is shared setting target dates for each part of the hiring process and serving as a reminder of the obligations of the hiring manager, the HR specialist, and eventually, the potential candidate.These tools, as well as the templates and forms provided in the following links, will assist you as you support efforts to streamline and improve the process to hire top tier candidates for NOAA.
