PdM SMC conducts lifecycle production of cohesive infrastructure hardware and software solutions integrated from the Enterprise thru Tactical edge levels in coordination with Coalition, Joint, and partner US products.

Description

Strategic Mission Command (SMC), under Project Manager Mission Command (PM MC), Program Executive Office Command Control and Communications-Tactical, is the Army Battle Command System (ABCS) component providing Army, Joint and Coalition Commanders with critical planning and situational awareness capabilities. Strategic Mission Command provides operational and strategic tools enabling the Army to bring the "right forces to the fight."

Family of Products

  • Battle Command Common Server (BCCS) is an architecture designed for scalability both from a hardware and baseline software architecture perspective, and can be adopted to support various tactical unit standard operating procedures, processes and integration needs.
  • Common Software: provides addressing, tactical messaging, data mediation, publish and subscribe and web-based applications capabilities.
  • Battle Command Staff Trainer (BCST) is a low cost, low overhead software tool for training Army Battle Command System (ABCS) operations. The trainer is used by trainers, leaders, soldiers and Battle Command Training Centers to develop and rehearse battle staff coordination, train for exercises and events and sustain.
  • Joint Interoperability Services (MIP and JDH) develops Coalition interoperability (MIP) solutions between the US allies and the Army, and Joint Interoperability (JDH) solutions between the USMC and the Army.
  • Tactical Edge Data Solutions (TEDS) JCTD is a technology demonstration (JCTD) which implements the C2 Core data exchange model for tactical information at the Battalion level. It ensures Web-services data sharing based on federal standard Universal Core (UCore) framework is capable of data sharing among disparate systems. Development priority: C2Core information exchange with Coalition partners and the battalion level.
