About the Program

The VAMC Detroit pharmacy processes over 3,800 prescriptions daily. Many of these prescriptions are filled by the Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) which comes in the US Mail from our facility in Chicago, IL.   Medications are not automatically sent.  You must order your refills.  You can order your refill(s) as soon as you receive your last one.  When you do this, the computer keeps track when you need your next refill and sends it to you before you run out.

Review all of your medications at each provider visit to ensure medications have been given refills.  In the event that you have no refills, you should contact your provider immediately.

Internet Refill

Prescriptions may also be filled online using VA's My HealtheVet program. You will need a user id and password to log in. If you do not have one, you can easily get one by creating your personal profile.

You can use your own personal computer or the computer in the Patient and Family Learning Center (located on the first floor in room C1592).
