ITS JPO Announces New Webinar Series on Connected Vehicle Data Capture Management and Dynamic Mobility Applications

A. Data Capture and Management Program Update  (60 minutes)

This webinar will provide an overall update of the Data Capture and Management Program.  The DCM Program is in its second phase of research, development and testing. The webinar will discuss the DCM program’s vision, progress and lessons learned.  It will also cover several topics including the DCM Program Evaluation, the Research Data Exchange (RDE) released in fall 2012, and upcoming activities and opportunities to participate.

B. Dynamic Mobility Applications Program Update  (90 minutes)

This webinar will provide an overview of the ITS Dynamic Mobility Applications Program.  The DMA Program is in its second phase focused on applications development and testing.  The DMA Program has completed the application bundles Concept of Operations phase and has moved into mobility-focused research (including the role of BSM), application prototyping and impacts analysis activities. DMA’s phase 2 also includes the Open Source Portal implementation effort.  This webinar will give an overview of this body of work.

C. Using the OSADP (60 minutes)

The DMA program is implementing an Open Source Application Development Portal (OSADP) that will enable multiple stakeholders to collaborate on application development. This webinar will discuss the goals and outcomes of the OSADP, provide an update on the content and status of the OSADP and walk through sample use cases.

D. The Potential of DMAs (60 minutes)

This webinar will discuss the potential benefits of connected vehicle Dynamic Mobility Applications.  The USDOT will present the overall plan for estimating mobility application benefits, along with the benefit goals that have been established, preliminary estimates of congestion reduction benefits, and the current status of the Dynamic Mobility Applications – Advanced Transportation and Demand Management Analysis, Modeling and Simulation (AMS) Testbed effort.
