The Facility Access and Shipment Tracking (FAST) system allows mailers to provide advance notification of drop shipment and Origin Entered mailings into postal facilities. FAST provides Mail Owners, Mail Preparers, and Schedulers enhanced visibility of their scheduled mailings at each facility.

FAST provides a single integrated customer service as well as product visibility for all mail classes. With FAST, mailers are able to track their shipments, receive advance notification of redirections, submit and manage recurring appointment requests online, and have joint scheduling capabilities.

  • For all FAST related questions please contact FAST Support at   FAST@usps.com.
  • Customers who need access to FAST must register through the Business Customer Gateway. To do so, users must navigate to http://www.usps.com, select the Business Customer Gateway hyperlink and choose the "Schedule a Mailing Appointment (FAST)" service.

FAST interfaces with a number of systems to improve visibility for both Postal and Customer users. Surface Visibility (SV) is used to collect real-time data by scanning shipments as they move through the appointment closeout process. SV is one of several systems that are used on the dock to provide FAST the appointment closeout information.
