The DCMO Knowledgebase is a resource designed to develop competencies necessary to improve defense business operations. These include online courses (e-Learning), links to Instructor-led training (ILT), and the Enterprise Resource Center. The following are key areas addressed by the KnowledgeBase: CompliancePrograms seeking to acquire new capabilities through IT Defense Business Systems must comply with requirements outlined in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) along with statutes and policies identified in the Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA) Compliance Guidance.
Enterprise Resource Planning Knowledge CenterThe Enterprise Resource Planning Knowledge Center contains links to the Enterprise Resource Planning Lab, the Program Integration Toolkit, computer based learning presentations, Business Integration Resources, and the One Voice forum.
Investment Review BoardThe Defense Business Council (DBC)/Investment Review Board (IRB), led by the Deputy Chief Management Officer (DCMO), is the DoDs Governance Board that oversees the review, certification, planning, design, acquisition, development, deployment, operation, maintenance, modernization, and project cost benefits, of covered defense business system programs. Semantic TransformationIn support of the semantic transformation of the Business Enterprise Architecture, the Office of the DCMO is offering semantic technology and Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) instructor-led courses, to members of the DoD Business Mission Area (BMA), through the Equipping the Workforce (ETW) Initiative. The ETW initiative is designed to support the DCMO mission to lead and enable end-to-end integration and improvement of business operations in support of national security by providing the DoD BMA community with the competencies necessary to carry the DCMO initiatives to business solutions.
