RSS Feeds & Podcasts
RSS is a standard format (in XML) for delivering content that changes on a regular basis. Content is delivered in small chunks, generally a synopsis, preview, or headline. This requires a suitable RSS reader software (so-called newsreaders or aggregators), a web-based feed reader or a web browser with integrated feed reader function.
Podcasting is a way to ’subscribe’ to audio programs and have them delivered via a personal computer to your MP3 player. Once the MP3 player is hooked up to a computer which connects to the Internet, a software program on the computer (freely available, such as iTunes, etc.) finds the latest editions of the subscribed podcasts and downloads these files to the MP3 player. The user can then disconnect the MP3 player and listen to the podcasts at any time. As a subscriber to U.S. Mission Germany’s podcasts, you can automatically receive the latest edition of available audio files.

To subscribe to one of our RSS feeds, copy the address of the RSS feed from the links below and paste it in your RSS reader, then click “subscribe”. If you use an RSS enabled browser, add the address of the feed to your bookmarks. Currently available feeds:

To subscribe to our podcasts, copy the address of the podcast feed from the podcast link below and add it to your podcast application. In iTunes, you can also search for our podcasts with the terms "U.S. Embassy Berlin" or "U.S. Consulate Frankfurt" and then click on "subscribe". You can listen to the MP3 files with any MP3 player.
