It is mandatory to include on the online appointment request the names of all non-applicants (parents and guardians of a minor) who plan to accompany the applicant to the Consular section; only those whose names are on the appointment list will be granted entry.

After making the appointment, please do not forget to complete all application forms and to verify what documents you must bring with you.


Valid passports will generally be returned to the applicant until the new passport arrives. Passport applications will be sent to the United States for printing with a secure, photo-digitized image of the bearer. You should be prepared to allow from 10-14 business days to receive a new passport. Consular Section will contact you as soon as the new passport is ready for your collection.

In the event of a true emergency, the consular section can still issue limited validity passports (usually valid for three months), which cannot be extended. Bearers will be required, however, to exchange their limited validity passports for a full-validity photo-digitized passport upon completion of their emergency travel, both through passport facilities in the U.S. and U.S. Embassies and Consulates abroad. Only one fee will be assessed if replaced within one year. Current fees are $110 for adult renewals, $135 to replace adult lost and stolen passports, and $105 for all minor (under 16) passports.

Online passport status checks

Anyone who applies for a U.S. passport and wants to know the status of his or her application can now do so by accessing the following link:
http://travel.state.gov/passport/status/status_2567.html. The status of an application should be available online 5-7 days after applying.

    Online appointment system is simple and easy to use. Applicants are able to make, change and cancel appointments through the online system. Once the appointment is made, applicants are able to print a confirmation page. Applicants will receive an e-mail reminder with instructions for the interview at the Consular Section.
