Information Resource Center - Niamey
The Public Affairs Section's Information Resource Center is the research and reference service of the Public Affairs Section, specializing in current U.S. policy, legislation, trade, social and cultural issues.
The IRC collection of around 4,000 volumes is about 50% English-language and 50% French-language. Although a number of periodicals are received in hard copy, the full text of approximately 100 periodicals are available on CD-ROM.
The IRC librarian provides quick reference assistance and research, using print and digital sources. Queries are accepted by telephone, e-mail, fax or in person during users' hours.
Training/demonstration sessions on the resources and services of the IRC can be arranged for groups upon request.
