Fulbright Scholarships for Graduate Study in the United States
Mar 09, 2012
The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce the annual competition for Fulbright Scholarships for graduate study in the United States. Applications are invited from citizens of Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.
The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government's flagship international educational exchange program. Applications for Masters level study are strongly preferred, however study at the Ph.D. level will be considered if such study will result in significant long-term benefits to the host country.
Many foreign Fulbright grantees are early-career professionals who return to take leadership positions in their home countries, often working at universities or in government service. The program has brought some of the world's finest minds to U.S. campuses and offers participants' insight into U.S. society and values. More than 1,800 new Foreign Fulbright Fellows enter U.S. academic programs each year.
