The American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit at the U.S. Consulate General Dhahran provides assistance to U.S. citizens in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. American citizens can apply for U.S. passports, document their foreign-born children as U.S. citizens, and request help in an emergency. Appointment System

Applications for U.S. passports and Consular Reports of Birth abroad are now received at the U.S. Consulate General Dhahran by appointment. The appointment system is designed to help minimize the amount of waiting time required during your visit to the Embassy.

Please read all the instructions and complete all forms for the service you have requested. Failure to submit a complete and correct application will delay your case. To minimize the time you will need to spend at the Consulate on the day of your appointment, please fill in application forms prior to arrival.

If your plans change, please cancel your appointment prior to the date
you are scheduled to appear. You must first cancel your existing
appointment in order to make a new one.

The consular section is closed to the public on the last business day of every month. In the case of an emergency, you may contact us at (03) 330-3200, x3004.

Note: We can accept payment in cash only (either U.S. dollars or Saudi riyals). We are not able to accept cash sent through the mail.
