Sollars ES Enrichment Activities

Band
This activity is open fourth through sixth grade students.
Chorus
Chorus is offered to students from the 4th - the 6th grade.
Dragon TV
Dragon TV is Sollars local TV production team. It is open to upper grade students and meets regularly after school.
Go Girls Go!
Running club strictly for the girls at Sollars.
Homework Club
This activity is for helping 4th through 6th grade students with their homework.
Soroban & Koto

Soroban is a manual calculator. Students practice addition and subtraction in written and oral form. The students practice very hard to prepare for an annual Soroban contest in June.
Koto is a traditional Japanese instrument. Students learn to play the Koto during this activity.
Safety Patrol
5th and 6th-grade students are recruited as crossing guards on the basis of citizenship, reliability, and responsibility. Experienced patrols are groomed as officers and provided leadership opportunities: organization, decision-making, setting the proper example.
Speed Stacking
 Speed stacking is offered by the PE department and helps build eye/hand coordination and confidence.
Student Council
 Council members are elected each year. Our student council works on many projects, both for our school and the world community at large.
