Notary Services

Consular Officers perform notary services that Notary Publics provide in the United States. If you need a document notarized for use in the United States, please make an appointment online at the Embassy’s ACS Online Appointment System to come to the Consular Office during regular service hours for United States citizens, 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.  We try to assist all customers, but cannot guarantee service to those who fail to make an appointment.

Consular Officers can notarize documents, administer oaths or affirmations to people executing affidavits, and certify true copies of documents.

Please note that neither Consular Officers nor any Consular staff may sign documents as a witness. Citizens who wish to have documents witnessed and notarized must arrange to have witnesses present for the signing.

When requesting notarial services, please bring the following:

  1. Identification, usually your U.S. passport
  2. Witnesses, if required by the document, and identification
  3. Payment of $50.00 for each notarization

Please prepare all documents before visiting the Consular Office by identifying where the documents need to be signed and by whom.
