The Embassy Khartoum consular section provides notorial services by appointment. Schedule an appointment.

Notarial fees are listed at Fees for Selected Consular Services.

Types of Notarials provided: Acknowledgement, Affidavit, Certification of true copy, Power of Attorney

For the Consular Officer to notarize your documents, you must:

  • Present government-issued photo identification, such as a passport.
  • Understand your document and be able to explain it to the Consular Officer.  The Consular Officer can not explain your document to you. 
  • Wait until the Consular Officer instructs you to sign the document.  Do not sign the document until you are standing before the Consular Office at the Embassy and the Consular Officer tells you to sign

Please be aware that the Consular Officer may refuse any notarial service when:

  • The Government of Sudan does not authorize the performance of the service;
  • The document will be used in transactions that may be prohibited by U.S.
  • The Consular Officer believes that the document will be used for a purpose that is unlawful, improper, or inimical to the best interests of the United States.

Consular officers are prohibited from giving legal advice or acting as witnesses.

In most cases the document will be ready the same day.
