The model output displayed on the pages below are a result of the Anchorage National Weather Service Office running a local numerical model. The model is the Weather Research and Forecast Model (www.wrf-model.org). The model is run daily at 00UTC and 12UTC. The WRF is run with the NMM core and has a horizontal resolution of approximately 3 km. There are 45 vertical levels stretching from the surface to 50 mb. The model is run without convective parametrization. Some of the parametrization used are the NOAA Land Surface Model, MYJ Boundary Layer Scheme, and Ferrier Microphysics. All dates listed on this page are Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). All winds are displayed in knots
