txt - Trajectory endpoints format help Forecast DetailsForecast trajectories for Alaska are summarized above. The 6-h duration forward trajectories begin at the specified number of hours after the start of the meteorological model initialization. The trajectories are computed using meteorological fields output from the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) North American Meso (NAM) and the Global Forecast System (GFS) forecast models. Details on the NAM and GFS gridded data used in these calculations are available on the meteorological forecast data web page. Trajectories starting at different heights are shown in different colors. The trajectory endpoints are plotted on maps (gif) and displayed in text files (txt). *Note that the NAM and GFS trajectories are updated separately because the NAM and GFS models are run at different times at NCEP.
