SILVER RECOVERY EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

The DoD PMRP has a subpart of the program that includes recovering silver from film development processes that generate spent fixer/hypo solutions.   DLA Disposition Services is responsible for providing silver recovery units for wet chemistry film development when it is economical to do so to capture the silver from the spent fixer.

Please email precious metals related questions to: Precious Metals Recovery Program

There are times when the effluent exiting the DLA Disposition Services provided silver recovery units requires further treatment before it can be discharged. These requirements are classified as environmental and not precious metals recovery. If a customer has this requirement, equipment that could typically accomplished this function is called “tailing” or “polishing” unit after the silver recovery unit(s).  Since this function is not part of the  DoD PMRP, tailing or polishing units are not part of the PMRP Equipment and Supply service to the DoD Customers.
