Occupational Health

The PHCR-Europe Occupational Health Program delivers comprehensive occupational health services to the U.S. Army in Europe (USAREUR) in support of the Occupational Health and Safety Program. Occupational Health services are provided to USAREUR personnel to reduce the risk of work-related illness and injury, and to enhance readiness through human resources conservation. The Occupational Health Program is directed in accordance with standards set by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration, DoD and Army Regulations, and Host Nation laws. Offices are located at U.S. Army Garrisons in USAREUR to establish and coordinate occupational health services for all workers (Military, U.S. Civilian, and Local National employees) throughout the PHCR-Europe service area.

The Occupational Health Program at PHCR-Europe is executed and implemented through field offices across Germany, Belgium, and Italy. Occupational Health Professionals (OH Professionals), comprised of Occupational Health Nurses (OHNs) and Occupational Health Technicians (OH Techs), function as special staff to the U.S. Army Garrison Commander and provide direct support to the workers in areas of medical surveillance, FECA Council participation, occupational illness and injury monitoring, health promotion and health education, technical consultation, and worksite visits.

OH Professionals from PHCR-Europe are available to provide the following services to you and your Soldiers: worksite visits, medical surveillance, technical consultation, injury & illness monitoring, and health promotion & education.
