The MAGTFTC, MCAGCC mission is to provide relevant live-fire training to prepare its Marines and Sailors for combat. In order to carry out this mission, it is important the land surrounding the installation is used in ways which are compatible with its training needs.

Employment Opportunities at MCAGCC
The Department of Defense employs more than 700,000 civilians worldwide. Here are some tips for making one of these jobs yours.

Green Energy at MCAGCC
A majority of the Combat Center's electricity is produced on the installation. MCAGCC also leads the Marine Corps in renewable energy.

Hazardous Waste Safety at MCAGCC
The environmental programs at MCAGCC protect the health of its Marines, their families, its civilian workforce and our neighbors from exposure to hazardous waste.

How to Contract with the Marine Corps
Here are ten simple steps to follow to get you started on the path to helping the Marine Corps, your country and your business’ bottom line.

Key Economic Facts
Typically, military bases are initially located in rural or remote areas and surrounding towns and installations become interdependent. The Morongo Basin, especially the City of 29 Palms, is no different. It depends on the economic activity of MCAGCC and the base depends on the support of the local communities.

Little Known Dangers of Off-Road Riding
Riding Off-Highway Vehicles in the desert is an activity that many participate in, but are unaware of all the possible dangers they may encounter.

Noise from MCAGCC
Critical training required of Marines and Sailors aboard MCAGCC prepares them for combat. They must train as they fight, using the mortars, artillery, tanks, planes, and guns they would use in combat. This equipment generates noise during training that can sometimes be heard in the community.

Range and Ordnance Residue Recycling
MCAGCC works hard to recycle as much as possible. Not only does it recycle everyday waste, it is the only Marine Corps base which has its own Range Residue Recycling facility.

Special Use Airspace
To ensure the safety of commercial and civilian aviation during military training activities, the FAA has established special use airspace above and in the vicinity of MCAGCC.

Water Conservation
Water is a precious commodity, especially in the desert, that’s why MCAGCC is doing all it can to ensure water isn’t just going down the drain.
