Application/Processing Fee

All applicants are required to pay the application fee, regardless of age, except diplomats applying for any type of visa, and officials traveling on official business. The payment is non-refundable, regardless of the decision to issue or deny the application. Even if an application is actually never being submitted, the payment cannot be refunded. If any other fees are required with the issuance of a visa, these must be paid upon approval of the visa directly at the office of the U.S. Consulate.

Please bring either the stamped bank slip or the printout as proof of the fee payment. If you pay the visa fee from your bank account – MUST take place at least 2 days prior to your visa application appointment date - you MUST also provide the appropriate bank statement showing the actual transfer.

Due to the USD-Euro Exchange rate, the visa application fees will be adjusted as of 26 September 2012 as follows:

The application fee for B-1/B-2 (visitor for business/pleasure), J (exchange visitor), F (student), M (non-academic student), I (foreign press media representative visa) and C-1/D (transit and crewmember) visas is €128 (the equivalent amount of $160).

The application fee for all kind of petition-based temporary work visas (H, L, O, P, Q and R categories) is €152 (the equivalent amount of $190).

The application fee for K (fiancé) visas is €192 (the equivalent amount of $240). The application fee for treaty trader (E-1), treaty investor (E-2), and Australian professional (E-3) visas is €216 (the equivalent amount of $270).
