David J. Lane, the United States Ambassador to the UN Agencies in Rome (USUN) was honored to be a guest speaker at the 50th anniversary of the University of California Education Abroad Programs in Rome.  The anniversary celebration took place in the beautiful Borromini-designed 17th century Vallicelliana  Library in Rome.

Ambassador Lane reminded students, faculty and officials from the University of California of the impact they could make on people’s lives through international work, and illustrated the work that  the USUN does in Rome to support humanitarian and development programs around the world that aim to reduce poverty and hunger through sustainable development.

He also told the audience how his own career path led him to become a U.S. Ambassador who engages with the multilateral international community.
