On January 13, 2011, the U.S. Embassy in Singapore will implement new visa application and appointment procedures.  As part of this change we will now be offering courier delivery of passports for approved non-immigrant visa applications at no additional charge.  This service will be offered by our authorized partner, CGI.

Please note that an online visa application must be completed and required visa application fees must be paid before an appointment can be scheduled.

Non-Immigrant Visas

All visa interviews at the U.S. Embassy in Singapore are handled on an appointment basis only. Individuals seeking general information about U.S. visas or needing to schedule a visa appointment should visit the U.S. Visa Information Service for Singapore or you may call 800 8523 800 (8:00 am to 8:00 pm) from Singapore or 214 571 1600 if you are in the United States.  You may also email your questions to  support desk. 

Immigrant Visas

All K visa (fiancé visa) applicants must pay their visa fee through our partner agency, CGI.  For details please check the U.S. Visa Information Service for Singapore website.  All other immigrant visa applicants will need to pay their fee to the National Visa Center or to the cashier at the Embassy at the time of their interview.

Visa Waiver Travel

Most Singaporeans traveling on business or tourism for less than 90 days do not require a visa and can travel under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP).  For information regarding visa-free travel, see the details of the Visa Waiver Program.  All travelers under the VWP must obtain authorization through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) prior to initiating travel to the United States.  Please visit ESTA website for more information and to register.

APEC Travelers

APEC 2011 Meetings

Travelers for APEC 2011 should apply for visas early, following the normal procedures.  If necessary, however, expedited visa appointments and processing are available for all APEC delegates, APEC Secretariat members, private sector representatives, APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) holders, and other persons traveling to the United States for APEC business during 2011.  Please contact the consular office  for assistance.

Announcement

  • Applicants for consular services are advised that effective January 22, 2013, the Embassy will no longer accept U.S. currency as payment for consular services. The Embassy will accept payment by credit card (Master Card, Visa Card, or American Express), or in Singapore currency only.
