Invitation to U.S. Embassy Town Hall Meeting on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 at 1 pm. U.S. Embassy General Services Compound in Marcory.

Dear United States Citizens in Cote d'Ivoire:

We invite you to a U.S. Embassy Town Hall Meeting on Monday, January 10, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. at the U.S. GSO warehouse in Marcory, on Boulevard Valery Giscard d'Estaing. The building is one block west of the intersection of Blvd. Giscard d”Estaing and rue du canal. Coming from Plateau, the warehouse is one block before the Cap Sud shopping center, on the same side of the boulevard (right side).  

The Ambassador will discuss the current political situation in Cote d'Ivoire, the Embassy drawdown and its role in protection of U.S. citizens in Cote d’Ivoire.  As a courtesy to our French-speaking guests we will provide to the best of our ability interpretation and/or written information in French.  You will also hear about the current security climate from our diplomatic security agents, and from our Consular Section about contingencies and details about what U.S. citizens would face in the event of a mass evacuation.

When: Monday, January 10, 2011 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. (Doors open at 12:30 pm so guests can be seated by 1:00)
 
Where: U.S. Embassy GSO warehouse in Marcory, on Boulevard Valery Giscard d'Estaing, near Cap Sud shopping center.

Who:  All adult U.S. citizens (16 years or older), and current Legal Permanent Residents with a valid green card. For minor citizens, one adult parent or legal guardian of a U.S. citizen-child under 16 will be admitted upon presentation of his/her picture ID, the child’s U.S. passport and proof of relationship to the child such as a birth certificate/court decree. We regret that, due to space constraints, only one parent, and no minor children, may be admitted. Parking is outside the gate. RSVP appreciated to abjamcit@state.gov.
