The U.S. Consulate General in Marseille offers a full range of passport services to U.S. citizens residing or traveling in the areas of the Bouches du Rhône, Languedoc-Roussillon, Provence-Alps-Côte d'Azur (PACA), Monaco and Corsica.

Most passport renewals are made by mail. Certain passport applications require a personal appearance by appointment.

A. Passport Services Requiring a Personal Appearance in Marseille

If you need one of the following passport services then you MUST make an appointment online and appear in person:

If your passport was lost, stolen or mutilated (DS-11 and DS-64 if lost or stolen) and (DS-11 if mutilated)

If you are a minor under 16 (DS-11)

If you currently hold a 5-year passport (DS-11)

If you are applying for a first passport (DS-11)

Consular Services which require a personal appearance are available in Marseille by using the online appointment system only. Please click on Passport service appointment to schedule an appointment. The Consulate is closed on French and U.S. holidays.

B. Passport Services by Mail in Marseille

If you need one of the following passport services you can apply by mail. You do NOT need an appointment

If you hold a 10 year passport (DS-82)

If you are adding Visa Pages to your passport (DS-4085)

If you want to change your legal name on your passport (two options: see instructions for each option) (DS-5504 or DS-82)
