Asylee and Refugee Follow-to-Join Applications

If your spouse or parent has been admitted to the United States as a refugee or granted asylum in the U.S. within the previous two years, he/she may be able to file an I-730 petition on your behalf.  After the petition is approved by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and various administrative processing is completed on the case, the file will be shipped to the Embassy nearest to your location.  The Embassy in Baghdad processes both asylee follow-to-join (Visas-92 or V92) and refugee follow-to-join (Visas-93 or V93) cases for individuals who are currently living in Iraq.  Once the file is received by the Embassy, the applicants will be contacted with information about the interview process.

For questions and inquiries regarding asylee and refugee following to join cases, please contact the Immigrant Visa Unit.
