Ambassador Shields with Pehin Badaruddin and Dato Shofry

Ambassador Shields hosted the Embassy's annual Iftar/Sungkai dinner on August 4th at The Empire Hotel's Country Club in Jerudong.

This is the second time Ambassador is hosting a Sungkai since arriving in Brunei last year.

At the Sungkai event, Ambassador Shields was joined by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Badaruddin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Othman (Minister of Home Affairs), Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Hj Sirat (Deputy Minister, Ministry of Defense, other senior government leaders, and Ambassadors. Also present were members of local companies, media and members of the Embassy staff.
