If you require additional help please contact us. All routine American Services are available by appointment ONLY.
Emergency Consular Services will always be available to American citizens and their families in distress due to illness, destitution, arrest, crime, death, or disaster. American citizens and their families facing these situations should call the Embassy at [255]229-4000 and you will be routed to either the Consular Section or the 24-hour Duty Officer.
The Consular Section is open to U.S. citizens for routine consular services from:
- Monday – Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Friday 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
The Embassy is closed on official American and Tanzanian holidays and the Consular Section is closed to the public the last Wednesday of each month to allow for administrative affairs and in-service training.
