If you feel you have been employed in violation of any of the laws enforced by the WHD, you may contact us. If you feel you have been employed in violation of any state laws, contact your state department of labor.

Complaint filing procedures

When you contact the WHD office to file a complaint, you will be asked to provide specific information that will help us to help you. The complaint will be reviewed, and you will be contacted for follow-up.

Rest assured we will treat your complaint as confidential to the fullest extent allowed by law. All services are free and confidential, whether you are documented or not.

The law prohibits an employer from retaliating against you because you filed a complaint with the WHD. We take very seriously the need to protect workers who file complaints with us. If you feel this has happened to you, contact us.
