Summer Institute Studies for Scholars

The U.S. Embassy is soliciting candidate nominations for six Summer 2013 Study of the U.S. Institutes for multinational groups of university faculty, scholars, and other related professionals. The Summer Institutes are free of charge, fully paid specialization academic programs. The applicants must be aware that there is only one slot available for each specialization for Romania and the process is highly competitive. The specializations are as follows:

• American Politics and Political Thought
• Contemporary American Literature
• Journalism and Media
• Religious Pluralism in the United States
• U.S. Culture and Society and
• U.S. Foreign Policy.

The deadline for candidate nominations to be received is December 17, 2012, 5 pm.

Prior to sending the proposal, please express your intention to participate by sending a message to the following e-mail address: alexandrescui@state.gov, in order to receive the application form.
