How to Apply
Applying for a Visa in Person
With limited exceptions, non-immigrant visa applicants aged 14 to 79 are required to schedule an interview with a U.S. consular officer. Interviews are by appointment only. The Embassy does not accept walk-in applications.

Applying for a Visa by Mail
You can send your application by mail of you are under the age of 14, or older than 80. Applicants who meet the requirements to use the Visa Reissuance Program are also encouraged to use this option.

We ask that you send in the required documents and fees by mail. The application fee must be paid using a bank remisse issued in Norwegian kroner.
The passport, visa (if granted) and additional documents will be returned by mail, and you will be contacted if additional information, or an interview, is required before we can process your application.
