USASMA's deputy commandant, CSM Wesley Weygandt, addresses Soldiers and their families at a Centennial Club dinner in their honor.

FORT BLISS, Texas - 40 reserve component Soldiers, their spouses and family members gathered at the Centennial Club for a dinner welcoming them to USASMA. The dinner was part of their orientation to the academy where, in August, they will be the newest students of Class 62 in the 10 month-long Sergeants Major Course. Even though the Soldiers are members of the Army Reserve and National Guard, attendance at the course means they will be making a permanent change of station, or PCS, move. Student-Soldiers from Class 62 come from all over the country and as far away as the European theatre and U.S. Virgin Islands. As part of their welcome to the academy, USASMA's deputy commandant, Command Sergeant Major Wesley Weygandt, and his wife, Stacey, broke bread with the Soldiers. Weygandt told them USASMA's staff and faculty would take good care of them. "You are now a part of the USASMA family," Weygandt said, assuring the Soldiers they were solidly supported during their stay.
