Brennan M. Gilmore

Mr. Gilmore arrived in Bangui in July 2011 as Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy.  Prior to this, Mr. Gilmore served as the Special Assistant for Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) Issues in the Bureau of African Affairs, coordinating the development of the U.S. Strategy to Support the Disarmament of the LRA. 

Mr. Gilmore has served as a political, economic, and consular officer in Sierra Leone and as a political officer in Tunisia.  He has also worked in Washington in the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, and in the Bureau of Population Refugees and Migration, where he oversaw programs to assist refugees and conflict victims in Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.  Mr. Gilmore is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
