Forecast Tides

The forecast tide data is produced using XTide, a computer program that uses harmonic calculations to produce the data. This data is used so that we may be able to produce extended data throughout the year. While efforts have been made to verify the validity of the tide data provided, this data cannot be certified for its absolute accuracy. Certified tide data from the National Ocean Service is available for up to two months in advance, and can be obtained by contacting the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi at 289-0959. The values given after the high tide and low tides are in feet above (+) or below (-) the Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) value. MLLW is defined as the average lowest low tide of the tidal day. The tidal day is the same as the lunar day.
