2011 Conference Program

On behalf of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS), I would like to thank you for your participation in the 2011 Satellite Direct Readout Conference. The goal was to meet with you and provide a forum to help you prepare for upcoming changes as NOAA transitions into new technologies for direct readout and broadcast services. Your comments and concerns to the changing technologies and the new data sources make possible the opportunity to ensure you are a part of the transition. We appreciate the actions and recommendations you provided at the conference. These inquiries represent the strength of coordination and the voice of progress between NOAA and the satellite users. Responding to your thoughts is our opportunity to ensure NOAA is listening, and your requests are being addressed. I hope you will be able to continue to contribute to interface with NOAA to help improve satellite products and services. I look forward to your attendance and participation at the 2013 NOAA Satellite Conference, April 2013, in Miami, Fl. Thanks for your time and patience.
