Long Term Requirements Workshop

ltrwsHeadquarters, Supreme Allied Commander Transformation will host a Long Term Requirements Workshop on 8-9 September, 2011 at the Sheraton Brussels Hotel (Brussels, BELGIUM).

Background:
As part of the ongoing NATO Defence Planning Process, the Strategic Commanders will define a minimum set of capability requirements necessary to undertake the full range of operations that the Alliance may be expected to conduct across the short, medium and long term time horizons out to 2035. The long term aspects of these requirements are particularly important as they will define where nations and NATO should focus their limited science and technology resources.

Purpose:
This event will bring together a broad and diverse group of experts with the aim of examining the long term aspects of NATO’s capability requirements and to explore the ‘art of the possible’ to determine the boundaries of this capability set.

Attendance:
This event is open to the broadest possible attendance from Alliance Member and Partner nations, the European Union (EU), agencies, military commands, academia and defence industries. Participants should have a background in future requirements, science and technology, or military operations.
