On March 14, 2012, Command Sgt. Maj. Antoine B. Overstreet assumed the responsibilities as command sergeant major of the U.S. Army Operational Test Command, Fort Hood, Texas.

Command Sgt. Maj. Antoine B. Overstreet began his military career in 1986 and completed Basic level training as an Infantryman at Fort Benning, Georgia.  His CONUS assignments include Fort Lewis, Washington, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Fort Hood, Texas.  His overseas assignments include Camp Hovey, Korea, Fort Kobe, Panama, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and Vicenza, Italy.  Overstreet served with the 2nd HBCT, 4ID Brigade Operation Sergeant Major.  After completion of his Brigade Operation Sergeant Major duties, he assumed duties as Command Sgt. Maj. of the 2nd BN, 2nd IN Regt, 3rd IBCT, 1st ID.

Overstreet has served at the following levels:  M60 Gunner/ammo bearer, anti-armor specialist, Ranger Squad Leader, and Platoon Sergeant.  He has served as a Drill Sergeant, Sr. Drill Sergeant, First Sergeant, Operations Sergeant Major, and Brigade Command Sergeant Major.

Overstreet’s military education includes Basic Reconnaissance Training, Air Assault School, Rappel Master School, Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, Pathfinder School, Halo School, Ranger School, Drill Sergeant School, Northern Warfare Training Course, Scout Reconnaissance Surveillance Course, Jungle Operations Training Course, Malaysia Tracking Course, NBC School, PLDC, BNCOC, ANCOC, First Sergeant Course, and U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy.  He also received his Associates Degree in Applied Science from North Carolina State in 2000.

Overstreet’s awards and decorations include:  Bronze Star Medal with 3rd Oak Leaf Cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Commendation Medal with 3rd Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Achievement Medal with 6th Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal with Silver Clasp 3rd Loop, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq and Afghanistan Campaign Medals, Korean Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral 4, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Drill Sergeant Badge, Ranger Tab, Master Parachutist Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Air Assault Badge, and Australian, Panamanian, Bolivian, and Italian Parachutist Badge.  Overstreet has also been awarded the Order of St. Maurice.
