Welcome To Autonomie
For the past 15 years, the Argonne System Modeling and Control Group has been at the forefront of research in energy-efficient transportation.
In recent years, the vehicle technologies have become increasingly complex with the introduction of new powertrain configurations (e.g., electrified vehicles),
new component technologies (e.g., advanced transmissions, engines…) and control strategies (e.g., eco-routing). In addition, with increased focus on connectivity and automation,
one cannot only consider the vehicle as a stand-alone element, but rather focus on the entire transportation system due to the numerous interactions with a vehicle and its environment.
The system modeling and control group has developed a series of integrated tools and processes to quickly and efficiently evaluate the
impact of advanced vehicle and transportation technologies from a mobility and energy point of view.
Expertise
Component–in-the-Loop
Evaluate the impact of a component technology at the system level using a virtual vehicle.
The development of Autonomie has been funded by the U.S. DOE Energy Vehicle Technologies Office (VTO).
