Logo Use
The materials in Marketing Express are supplied by the IRS to inform EITC eligible workers of the credit's availability and how to get additional information on the credit. IRS can permit the use of the EITC logo to support tax administration and the logo's use should not falsely convey IRS' endorsement of the user. IRS must review and provide a written approval of all customized products using the EITC logo. An example of logo use that supports tax administration and does not falsely convey endorsement is a customization that includes name, location, contact information and hours of availability. An example of using the logo that does not support tax administration and falsely conveys endorsement is offering a discount for bringing in the flyer or mentioning the flyer.
