Colonel Laura L. Lenderman is the Vice Commander, 380th Air Expeditionary Wing, Southwest Asia. The 380th AEW is comprised of five groups and 24 squadrons. Colonel Lenderman is responsible for the wing's air refueling, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, air battle management, control and reporting center, ground attack, air support, theatre security cooperation and airlift mission in support of overseas contingency operations in Southwest Asia.

She graduated from Duke University with an Electrical Engineering degree in 1993. Colonel Lenderman attended Undergraduate Pilot Training at Columbus AFB, Miss., and served tours at Grand Forks AFB, N.D., Fairchild AFB, Wash., and Altus AFB, Okla., flying the KC-135 Stratotanker. She also performed Presidential Advance Agent duties for Air Force One and the 89th Presidential Airlift Group and commanded the 15th Air Mobility Operations Squadron at Travis AFB, Calif. Colonel Lenderman most recently served as the Executive Officer to the Commander of Air Mobility Command at Headquarters Air Mobility Command.
