Informatics
The Cancer Imaging Program (CIP) is a driver of imaging informatics research at NCI. The CIP Informatics Team provides critical services and infrastructure to both the intramural and extramural imaging research communities. Major ongoing initiatives include:
- The Cancer Imaging Archive (TCIA) – an open image archive for cancer imaging and metadata
- TCGA Imaging Genomics – genotype-to-phenotype research by correlating clinical image features with genomics, pathology, and clinical data types
- Quantitative Imaging Network (QIN) - improving the role of quantitative imaging for clinical decision-making in oncology
- Lung Image Database Consortium (LIDC-IDRI) - A completed reference database of lung nodules on CT scans
- Imaging Informatics Resources – Software and standards helpful to imaging researchers
