Agriculture

Agriculture is a key part of Louisiana's economy and way of life.  A strong farm community will help secure America's status as the leading world power and maintain important jobs in rural communities.

It is important for Congress to take steps to ensure a strong agricultural economy for years to come, and I am actively working on several important issues to benefit Louisiana farmers, including:

Ensuring the farm bill is properly implemented to provide the best results for Louisiana's farmers.

Working to provide important disaster relief so that farmers can continue to recover from our recent storms.

Ending the death tax so farmers can pass their family farm down to the next generation.

Promoting fair trade and a level playing field for all of Louisiana's agriculture industries.
