Message from the Ambassador
Welcome to the business section of our website!
With a $4 trillion annual economic partnership, and 14 million jobs on both sides of the ocean, no other commercial relationship is as large, strong or integrated as the transatlantic economy. And with over a half billion citizens in 27 member states, the EU market continues to be an attractive commercial environment for U.S. businesses.
Our team of commercial diplomats at the U.S. Mission to the EU has used its trade expertise and experience to help thousands of companies export goods and services worth billions of dollars. We are ready to help you do business in the EU and help you navigate through the challenges and seize the opportunities this market has to offer.
I invite you to contact our team today and learn how we can help you grow your business in the EU.
Ambassador William E. Kennard
Transatlantic Economic Council (TEC)
Created by a joint framework for advancing transatlantic economic cooperation, the Transatlantic Economic Council (TEC) is the primary plenary forum for economic dialogue between the United States and the European Union. The Transatlantic Economic Council (TEC) seeks to deepen cooperation between the United States and the European Union by promoting economic growth through increased trade and job creation. The TEC works to facilitate agreement on a wide range of economically important issues managed through its Current Workplan. Meeting at least once per year, the co-chairs of the TEC – the White House Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economic Affairs and the EU Commissioner for Trade – promote dialogue and agreement to further integrate the transatlantic economies. Across a spectrum of interrelated issues, the TEC seeks to eliminate trade barriers, implement best practices, harmonize standards, and develop market access.
