To provide, preserve, and restore combat readiness through health promotion and education. To provide health promotion, health education, and disease prevention for service members and their families, retirees, civilian employees and other beneficiaries in the Joint Base San Antonio/Ft. Sam Houston community.
Our Major Program areas:
- Communicable Disease Surveillance and Reporting - includes Tuberculosis, Hepatitis, HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Infections, Non FDA Blood use, and reportable infectious illnesses.
- Health Promotion - provides services in Tobacco Use Cessation, Group Life Balance, Yoga, Relaxation, Spin and Walking Programs.
- Child and Youth Services (CYS) - APHN serves as the Health Consultant and Staff Trainer. Member of Special Needs Accommodation Process (SNAP).
