Yes, American citizens may travel to Kosovo. There are several commercial flights a day leaving from the U.S. via transit points in Europe. There is no direct flight yet established between the U.S. and Pristina. To stay current on any travel warnings to Kosovo or any other country, please go to the U.S. Department of State warnings for U.S. citizens. U.S. citizens need a passport to enter Kosovo that is valid for at least six months upon entry. For stays of less than 90 days, no visa is required, but visitors may be asked to produce documentation to demonstrate the purpose of their visit. Visitors allowed entry to Kosovo are permitted to stay for up to 90 days. Persons who wish to prolong their stay beyond 90 days will need to register at the Office for Registration of Foreigners, located in the Main Police Headquarters in Pristina.
