Operational hours of the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv (and associated offices/sections) are Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Consular services are by appointment only.
The Embassy is closed to the public on weekends and U.S. and Ukrainian Holidays.

Consular Section public hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. by appointment only. Routine ACS services, including passports, registering the birth of a child, and notary services, are scheduled through an online appointment system only.
NOTE: The Consular Section is prepared to deal with emergencies at any time every day of the week. Emergencies include, but are not limited to: arrest, serious illness, and death of a U.S. citizen.
