HIV/AIDS Hematology

Specific areas include:

  • Studies of the effects of HIV infection and anti-viral HIV therapies on hematopoiesis and the hematopoietic microenvironment.
  • Development of novel gene therapy approaches for treating HIV infection based on auto-transplantation of genetically modified hematopoietic stem cells.
  • Impact of HIV infection and of anti-viral HIV therapies on immunosuppressive management for hematopoietic stem cell and organ transplantation.
