Jean-Pierre Renou
Dr. Jean-Pierre Renou (aka Chip) spent a sabbatical term in LGP in 2001 and again in 2002 to explore downstream target genes activated by the Stat5 and beta-catenin signaling pathways. Chip was instrumental in the development of the mammary cDNA microarray (mammochip) and the establishment of the bioinformatic tools necessary to analyze the data generated from the microarrays. During his time at LGP, Chip succesfully identified and isolated several novel genes downstram of the Stat5 and beta-catenin pathways.
Dr. Renou returned to INRA, Jouy, in November 2001 but will return to LGP on a regular basis to data-mine more cDNA microarrays. In 2002 he moved to INRA in Evry to head the Transcriptome group.
